It is essential to build a compassionate relationship with your children. Compassion, ‍affection and love have to be the foundation of a parent-child relationship. It's true that every parent deeply loves their children. But the secret love that is in the heart is not enough. Make them feel you love them. Demonstrate your care and love for them. Whenever the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam enters the house or leaves the house, he often kisses the forehead of his daughter Fatima ra. This act of kissing his daughter on the forehead everyday was a constant reminder that her father loves her very much. For this reason, even when he forbade her to do any work or did not respond to any of her requests, he had understood that her father did it for her good. Anas ibn Malik said, I have never seen anyone more merciful to his family than the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
