Allah tala tells us in the Quran,
یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا کُتِبَ عَلَیۡکُمُ الصِّیَامُ کَمَا کُتِبَ عَلَی الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِکُمۡ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَتَّقُوۡنَ
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -Surah Baqarah, Ayat: 183
Fasting is a very important and Virtuous act of worship in Islam. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is obligatory for every able-bodied adult Muslim. Apart from this, fasting is a very virtuous deed throughout the year. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam used to fast a lot throughout the year. Let’s know about Sunnah of Fasting:

Tasks
Avoid pointless arguments while fasting. If someone speaks harshly, avoid saying good words and say I am fasting. -Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

Start fasting by eating sahri on the last night. The Prophet. Said, you do sahri, sahri is blessed. -Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

Do miswak during the azu of every prayer. Do not hesitate to do miswak while fasting. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, "If I had not feared that it would be difficult for the ummah, I would have instructed them to do miswak during every prayer.” -Sahih Bukhari

Do Iftar after sunset quickly. -Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

Say after Iftar :
اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك أفطرت اللهم تقبل مني إنك أنت السميع العليم
Allahumma laka sumtu wa ala rijkika aftartu allahuma takabbal minni innaka antas-samiul alim.
O Allaah, for You I have fasted and by Your provision I have broken the fast. -Jadul Maad

ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
Dhahaba adh-Dhama' wabtallatil-urooq wa thabatal-ajr inshaa'Allah
Thirst is gone, the veins are wet, and the reward is confirmed by the will of God -Sunan Abu Dawood
