How to Cook Quinoa on Stove

From the prehistoric age to today’s world one quinoa remains a steeple food to many and a popular item in several countries. It’s easy to bake, easy to eat, and delicious to all. So, let’s cook some quinoa on the stove today,

1. Gather all the ingredients such as 1 cup of quinoa, 2 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of coconut or sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of turmeric, salt, and pepper depending on your taste.

2. Take a bowl and put the quinoa into it. Then pour some water into the bowl.

3. Leave it for 2 minutes so that the outer shells of the quinoa get removed.

4. After 2 minutes keep the soaked quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer.

5. Place it under a tap for 30 seconds to rinse the quinoa well.

6. When it is perfectly washed, transfer the quinoa into a saucepan.

7. Add 2 cups of water and salt (Choose the amount according to your personal preference)

8. Place the saucepan over a stove or a burner.

Once

9. Keep the flame on medium-low heat.

Once

10. Cover the saucepan with a lid. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes until the water starts to simmer.

11. Check periodically whether the grain has become translucent and tender.

Once

12. After 20 minutes, if the water is not absorbed completely, continue cooking on low heat until you get the result.

13. Do not uncover the lid once you are finished with cooking. Leave it for at least 5 minutes.

14. Take it off from the stove and serve it.
