It teaches us to be patient, and self-restraint. Apart from cleansing our souls, Ramadan deals with our physical being as well because these two cannot be considered separate. They are two different expressions of one single entity. As fasting i.e. abstaining from food and drinks are the core practice in Ramadan, we need to remember that upon breaking the fasting it is not a good idea to dive into the food and indulge oneself. There are a lot of health benefits of fasting but at the same time, it must be remembered that the benefits will only be achieved if we also show moderation in our food and drink. Let us learn about how to eat properly during Ramadan.
