Parent’s Du'a is very important for children. In the Quran Allah teaches us to pray for our children. Quran repeatedly mentioned du’a of prophets for their children like du’a of prophet Zakaria alaihis salam:
قال رب هب لي من لدنك ذرية طيبة انك سميع الدعاء
He said my lord grant me from yourself a good offspring. Indeed you are the Hearer of supplication.
Surah Nisa, Ayat : 38
and du’a of prophet Ibrahim alaihis salam :
رب هب لي من الصالحين
My lord! grant me a child from among the righteous.
Surah Saffat, Ayat : 100

Besides dua we should try our best for what we want for them. We should be sincere in our du’a. Let’s know how we can sincerely pray for the betterment of our children.

1. Find out what you want for your children. Try to be as specific as possible.

2. Make dua for your children every single day, after every Salat.

3. Define specific achievable steps for your goal. Try your best along with du’a.

4. Monitor their progress. Make sure your steps are appropriate.
