The ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah is the Day of Arafah.It was the day on which Allah perfected His religion, completed His favours upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and approved Islam as a way of life. Allah swore by this day in Surah al Burooj and He swears by nothing except that which is great and mighty. On this day the pilgrims gather at the mountain plain of Arafah, praying and supplicating to Allah. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "There is no day on which Allah frees people from the fire more so than on the day of Arafah. As the day is of great significance,we should concentrate on doing as many good deeds as possible on this day. Here is the 7 recommended things to do on the day of Arafah:

Tasks

Fasting. The Prophet (pbuh) said, "It (fasting on this day) expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Muslim)

Once

Making fard salah at top priority and at the earliest time. Also making wudu with excellence, praying with congregation and with Khushoo.

Once

Reciting takbeer (allahu akbar), tahmeed(alhamdulillah),tahleel(la ilaha illallah), tasbeeh(subhanallah) multiple times a day.

Once

Making lots of dua and asking Allah for forgiveness.

Once

Reciting the Quran abundantly.

Once

Being extra nice to our parents.

Once

Giving charity.
