How I take notes - Tips for neat and efficient note taking

Note taking is an essential skill for your study. If you take notes in a wrong way, it won’t come to your use as well as it would be a mere wastage of your valuable time.
Here are some techniques that will save you time as you don’t have to write separate lecture notes and textbook notes if you follow them.

Read through relevant textbook chapters for any upcoming lecture.

Write down keywords for the topic. Make a checklist before the lecture.

During lecture, use grade paper to make your notes neat and organized.

Use loose leaf paper over notebooks.

Use erasable pens so that you can edit your notes without any crossing over.

Use paper with a margin or make your own.

Have a certain system for taking notes. (Paragraphs, bullet points, examples, etc.)
